Close encounter with Great White Shark : Surfer approached by shark at crowded West Beach

This is the frightening moment a three-metre Great White started trailing a surfer back to shore, just two weeks before another man lost his arm and hand in a nearby shark attack.

Andy Johnston was out with a small group of surfers at West Beach near Esperance, south-east of Perth, on September 21 when people ashore spotted the dark shadow looming.

Other surfers managed to clear the water onto a reef after people started to honk their car horns to warn of the approaching shark, but Mr Johnston opted to stay put.

'I'd rather try to hold my ground against it and not freak out and make a commotion,' he told the Esperance Express following his close encounter.

'If you're going to get chomped then you're going to get chomped - there's nothing you can do about it.'

The photos showing just how close Mr Johnston came only emerged on Thursday - a month after his close encounter.

Frits De Bruyn, who was on holiday in Western Australia at the time, was standing at a nearby lookout and managed to capture the drama.

'We were at a lookout and we saw a shadow in the water. It became evident it was shark and everyone started shouting. There was about a dozen surfers and paddle boarders in the water,' Mr De Bruyn told Daily Mail Australia.

'He followed him to shore for a bit... he was only a body-length behind him.

'The surfer went straight back out a few minutes after the shark swam away.'

The un-fazed surfer said he didn't even think the shark posed a threat, but admits if things had gone badly it would have been traumatic for anyone who witnessed the attack.

'It seemed just curious and I didn't want to give it a reason to chase me so I tried to behave casually and keep an eye on it,' Andy Johnston said.

'But I didn't know it came up quite so close as I was paddling into the wave to come into the beach with the other lads.

'If you're going to say a shark is a threat every time you see one, well that's not true.

'They're doing their thing and we're doing our thing.

'I probably have a higher risk of breaking my neck on that reef than the shark causing me harm.'

Two weeks after Mr Johnston's close encounter, Sean Pollard was attacked at nearby Wylie Bay, east of Esperance, on October 2.

The 23-year-old lost his left forearm and his other hand at the wrist when he was mauled while surfing.

Mr Pollard was dragged from the water where fellow beachgoers wrapped towels around his bleeding injuries.

He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.

Soon after, two great white sharks were caught and killed drum lines were deployed Western Australia's Department of Fisheries.

The dead sharks were taken to Perth for research and Mr Pollard's surfboard was being examined by experts.

CCTV Baby is crushed by falling block of snow while being pushed in his buggy by his grandparents

A Russian baby is in intensive care after being crushed by a huge block of snow as he laid in his buggy.

Eight-month-old Kuzma Yermolayev was being taken for a walk by his grandparents in Kirov, in western Russia, when the block dislodged from the top of a five-story building.

Kuzma had to be rushed to hospital where he is being treated for a fractured skull, brain trauma and abdominal contusion.

The terrible incident was caught on camera and his grandparents can be seen frantically trying to dig out the baby from under the snow.

Horrified Grandma Iraida Korovina, 62, said: 'We had only just left the house when our lives were destroyed by this terrible, terrible accident.

'When the snow hit we were so shocked we couldn't comprehend what had happened.

'We uncovered little Kuzma who was bleeding and unconscious and a kind neighbour called for an ambulance.

'I can't begin to express how traumatic this is, for both us and his parents.'

A hospital spokesman said: 'He is in a very serious condition.

'The block of snow was tightly packed to almost ice, and when it hit him it caused severe damage.'

City spokesman Maria Yuzhanina said: 'There should have been a warning sign if there was a dangerous build up of snow, and something on the roof to stop it falling.

'The police and we are examining the CCTV footage to establish whether the build up of snow was down to negligence on behalf of the home owners who are supposed to clear it away.

'If that is the case then whoever was responsible for not carrying out their job will be charged with negligence leading to endangering of human life.

'If any person is found guilty of negligence, the individual could be fined anywhere between 100,000-500,000 RUB (1,447-7,235) and face either six years in prison or five years of compulsory community service.'

39,000 years old World's best-preserved woolly MAMMOTH goes on display in Russia

The best-preserved woolly mammoth ever found has gone on display in central Moscow some 39,000 years after it last roamed the Earth.

The ancient baby woolly mammoth, named Yuka by scientists, was found by local tusk hunters in the Yakutia region of Russia's Arctic coast in 2010.

Remarkably clumps of the animals distinguishing hair are still intact after the baby mammoth was trapped in glacial ice until she was found.

Experts have said the discovery of Yuka is a significant find because her body is unusually well-preserved in comparison to previous discoveries of mammoth corpses.
Yury Burlakov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told Reuters there were numerous reasons why the five corpses of mammoths previously found had not been as significant.

'Five corpses of baby-mammoths, small mammoths have been found. Why is it interesting? [The] Mammoth is huge, three metres tall, weighs five tonnes, and we usually do not get to see it complete,' Mr Burlakov said.

'Either predators have gnawed on it after its death or something else. This baby-mammoth is comparatively small, so certain fragile details are preserved, like the trunk or the tail.'

The scientists have identified scars on the body of the three-metre long female which they say confirm that she was the victim of predators before her death.

Yuka was discovered in permanently frozen soil and ice and since then the body of the woolly mammoth has been kept in a special glass cage at freezing temperatures.

Experts believe the now extinct mammoth was approximately 10 years-old when she died.

Stanislav Kolesov, research associate of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said the extraordinary discovery was significant breakthrough for science.

'She has great value for science, because she is the only baby-mammoth of its age category. She is a teenager, nine or ten-years-old. Mammoths of this age had not yet been found. There were adults or very young babies, under one year of age,' Mr Kolesov said. 'And besides it is a sensational discovery, as her brain has preserved very well.'

The baby woolly mammoth is visiting Moscow as part of a world tour. The prehistoric creature has already been on display in Japan and Taiwan.

It is believed the last woolly mammoth walked the earth around 4,000 years ago.

CCTV Worst Male Driver ?! Spends 10 mins trying to reverse out and hits neighbouring car 15 TIMES

A man in Chinas Jiangsu province has earned the dubious accolade of the countrys 'worst driver' after a video emerged of him taking 10 minutes to reverse out of a parking space - hitting the car next to him a staggering 15 times.

The footage, taken earlier this month in Jiangyin, a city of around two million people in the east of the country, shows the hapless man trying dozens of different angles and manoeuvres, even though it should've be relatively simple to steer his way out.

After - eventually - getting out, he speeds away without making any effort to let the unfortunate driver of the neighbouring car know what he'd done.

He was tracked down by police officers, who contacted local car dealers to find his identity and confiscated the mans licence for suspicion of hit and run, pending further penalty measures, reports the South China Morning Post.

The man, who had only been driving for two months, has been called 'reverse brother' by Chinese social media users, who wondered how he passed the driving test in the first place.

'Did he buy the licence, or what?' one said. Bribing officials to obtain a licence is a common practice in China.

Chinas roads are notoriously dangerous. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) around 200,000 people are killed in crashes every year, the leading causes of death for people between 14 and 44 years of age.

China has about 85 million passenger cars plying its roads, about 40 per cent fewer than in the United States.

Yet 67,759 people died in road accidents in China in 2009, according to official statistics - more than double the number in the U.S.

We HATE going to the vet! Hilarious photos show traumatised pets who don't know what's good for them

A vet appointment strikes terror into the bravest pets' hearts.

So pity these misty-eyed dogs and cats, who raised a smile with their attempts to hide or guilt-trip their way out of that dreaded trip.

One huge dog was in a full-blown hug with its owner by the reception desk while another buried its face in a towel.

The images raised amused comparisons to humankind's fear of the dentist's drill when they were collated on the image-sharing website Pulptastic.

Who knows if they're as scared as they look? They've done a good job at making us pity them all the same - but it's still not quite enough to escape the surgery.

Florida hunters capture 765lb Giant Alligator nicknamed 'Lumpy' with their BARE HANDS

Two Florida hunters have captured a 765lb alligator with their bare hands after spending several months tracking it down.

Keith Kelley and Kelly Sziy, both from Jacksonville, successfully lured the 13ft-long creature, nicknamed 'Lumpy', with bait at St John's River in the early hours of last Sunday.

With just 'a rope, a few hooks and their strength', they waded into the water, before pouncing on the alligator and dragging it on to the shore. They later killed it to use for processed meat.

On Thursday, Mr Kelley said he was delighted that he and Mr Sziy had finally captured 'Lumpy' following months of tracking the beast at the spot in St John's County.

'He got close enough to where I guess he couldn't withstand the bait. Finally, it was just his night,' he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

'[I] put some leather gloves on and I told Kelly, "we're going to have to get him by hand and that's all it is to it. Hang on".

Following the capture near Riverdale, where alligators are as common as crocodiles are in the Northern Territory, Mr Kelley and Mr Sziy took 'Lumpy' to Alligator Farm to be measured.

Unsurprisingly, the enormous animal broke the scales at 765lb and a staggering 13 feet long, according to ActionNewsJax.com.

'Usually when people say they've seen a large alligator, it's usually around 11 feet or so,' said Jim Barlington, the facility's curator of reptiles. 'So, 13 feet, close to 13 1/2 feet is definitely rare.'

Mr Kelley and Mr Sziy later killed the alligator, before posing for a series of photos and uploading them to Facebook. The creature's head will now be mounted on Mr Kelley's wall.

Officials at Florida Fish and Wildlife are currently investigating whether the alligator is the largest in the state to have been captured by hand.

In the meantime, Mr Kelley said he and Mr Sziy are 'looking forward to their next large and lumpy catch.

'I don't know if there's another one out there, but we'll definitely be looking,' he said.

South African football captain is shot dead after group of armed men break into Johannesburg home

South Africa football captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead in Johannesburg last night as he tried to protect his girlfriend from burglars.

The 27-year-old was with on-off girlfriend Kelly Khumalo, a South African pop star, when intruders entered his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, a town 20 miles south of Johannesburg. The pair were seen in a picture together earlier on Sunday.

Meyiwa, who played for Orlando Pirates, was shot dead after one of the attackers pointed a gun at Miss Khumalo.

'Two guys entered the house and demanded cellphones, money and other valuables,' provincial Community Safety official Sizakele Nkosi-Malubane told reporters at the scene.

'Senzo tried to protect Kelly because one of the men had a gun pointed towards her.'

The previous day he captained his side as they advanced to the semi-finals of the South African League Cup, defeating Ajax Cape Town 4-1.

'We can confirm that Bucs (Pirates) keeper Senzo Meyiwa has been shot and sadly declared dead on arrival at hospital,' the South African Police Service (SAPS) said on its twitter feed.

The South African goalkeeper was reportedly shot in the chest.

According to the South African Police Service, two men entered the house, around 20:00 (18:00GMT), while a third man remained outside.

All three fled after shots were fired, in what local media reports say was an attempted burglary.

The gang arrived demanding Meyiwa's mobile phone, according to one report.

His club said in a statement: 'The Orlando Pirates family has learned with sadness of the untimely death of our number 1 keeper & captain Senzo Meyiwa.

'This is a sad loss to Senzo's family especially his children, to Orlando Pirates & the nation', said Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.

The club will hold a press conference this morning.

Meyiwa had an on-off relationship with pop star Kelly Khumalo.

He admitted in an interview with Drum magazine that he lied to both his wife Mandisa Mkhize and the singer, who he initially fell for at the Feather Awards in March last year.

Khumalo was initially reluctant to commit to a relationship but he eventually won her over after telling her he was single. Khumalo gave birth to a baby girl this year called Aphelele.

She only found out he was married five months into their relationship, by which time his wife had also heard about the affair when a colleague showed her Khumalos Instagram account.

At the time, Meyiwa said: This is all my fault. I lied to them [Khumalo and Mkhize].

'I approached her [Khumalo] and she asked if I was married. But I wasnt man enough to tell her the truth. As a result, she fell in love with me.

He reportedly returned to his marital home in February.

Mendisa was quoted in the Sunday Sun as saying: Im glad my husband is back home. Im loving every moment. Senzo is a good man who loves his family. I support him in his career and we are now closer than ever.'

It is understood that Meyiwa and Khumalo had recently rekindled their relationship, with a number of Instagram photos uploaded by the singer in the last month.

Tonight, tributes were paid to the Bafana Bafana star, who had recently been called in to the national side.

Doncaster midfielder Dean Furman, a team-mate of Meyiwa for South Africa, said he was 'beyond devastated' at the news.

Furman tweeted: 'Beyond devastated at the loss of our captain and friend Senzo Meyiwa. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this terrible time'.

Andile Jali said: 'Just got a call and I was sleeping but now I can't sleep.'

Former national manager Stephen Keshi said: 'Sad to hear about the passing of the Bafana Bafana Goal Keeper and Captain Senzo Meyiwa. My prayers are with his family and the team.'

Darren Keet, a fellow South African goalkeeper who plays for Belgian club KV Kortrijk and the national side, offered his deepest condolences to Meyiwa's family and friends.

He wrote: 'Deeply saddening to hear this news about our captain and friend', adding that Meyiwa would be 'missed, but never forgotten'.

Sport minister Fikile Mbalula said the ministry would be in contact with Meyiwa's family before issuing a full statement.

'The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Minister Fikile Mbalula, has with deep sorrow taken note of widely publicised reports of the passing away of Orlando Pirates and South African Goal keeper, Senzo Meyiwa,' the ministry said in a brief statement.

'The Ministry is currently reaching out to his family and his club and will issue a full statement in due course.'

Meyiwa's death follows that of another prominent South African sportsman, former world 800 metres champion Mbulaeni Mulaudzi, who died in a car accident on Friday.

Violent gun crime in South Africa has been highlighted by the trial of Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius, who was found guilty of shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

More than 17,000 people were murdered in South Africa between April 2013 and March 2014, an increase of about 800 over the previous year, according to police figures.

CCTV U.K Police release moment BLIND and DEAF man pushed onto railway track by thugs

This footage shows the moment two twisted thugs pushed a blind and deaf man and his brother onto a busy railway track.

Daniel Webster, 23, and Niall Martin, 24, can be seen pushing their terrified victim Glyn Morrell, 31, onto the line during the late night attack.

Horrified rail staff at Chelmsford railway station had to put a block on trains using the main line through Essex fearing Mr Morrell could be killed.

Mr Morrell's younger brother, Joseph, was also pushed onto the track when he tried to intervene. A senior police officer described it as one of the most "appalling incidents" he has ever investigated.

At Chelmsford Crown Court, Webster pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm against both brothers and was jailed for 22 months.

Martin admitted actual bodily harm against Joseph Morrell and was jailed for nine months.

The horrific drama happened in February this year after Webster, of Coggeshall, and Martin of Colchester, approached the two brothers to ask about trains before a row broke out.

Mr Morrell, from Ipswich, was attacked on the platform whilst waiting for a train with his brother and a friend.

In the CCTV footage Joseph, 28, can be seen coming to the aid of his vulnerable sibling, only to be attacked in a horrifying assault which also saw him thrown onto the track by Webster.

Sickeningly, he was attacked again as he desperately tried to clamber to the safety of the platform.

Webster then threw Mr Morrell, who is registered blind and is profoundly deaf, onto the tracks before punching him in the face as he tried to climb back onto the platform.

Judge David Turner QC said it had been a "disgraceful episode" and labelled the pair's actions "manifestly dangerous".

He said: "This is exactly the sort of thing that terrifies members of the travelling public late at night."

Speaking afterwards Detective Constable Alan Reed of British Transport Police said: "This is one of the most appalling incidents I have investigated.

"Webster and Martin showed a savage disregard for their victims, and one of the brothers is still suffering from the injuries sustained to his foot.

"It is no exaggeration to say the brothers could have been killed after being thrown onto the tracks.

"I would like to pay tribute to the victims, who have shown great dignity following what was a terrifying ordeal for them.

"I hope the sentence will provide them with some sense of closure, although in truth, the impact this has had on both of them is likely to remain with them for the rest of their lives."

The court heard on Wednesday that Mr Morrell spent six weeks on crutches and was off work for six months.

He now walks with a limp and has been told the foot injury may take two years to heal and may need further surgery.

CCTV U.S Man attacks group of police with HATCHET before being shot dead in Queens

New York police fear that a crazed hatchet attack on four police officers in Jamaica, Queens, today could be linked to terrorism.

Suspect Zale Thompson, 32, pictured in surveillance footage, was shot dead on the scene after slashing one cop in the arm and the other in the head at around without warning about 2pm.

The officer struck in the head was critically injured.

A 29-year-old female bystander a half-a-block away from the attack was critically injured after being shot by an errant police round. She is currently recovering from surgery at Jamaica Hospital and is listed in 'grave' condition.

Police say they were investigating whether Thompson's attack on the cops was linked to Islamic terrorism. ISIS has urged fighters to launch lone wolf attacks in the United States.

Thompson's Facebook page features a photograph of a man dressed in Middle Eastern garb and a cover photo displaying Arabic writing.

Two attacks in Canada this week by radicalized converts to Islam have killed two Canadian soldiers.

In one, a man ran down two soldiers in his car in Quebec, killing one, before being shot dead.

On Wednesday a convicted felon ambushed a soldier outside Canadian Parliament, fatally wounding him, before running the Parliament building and opening fire.

DNA Info reports that on Thursday afternoon a freelance photographer approached the group of rookie cops and asked to take their photograph.

As the officers were posing for the camera, Thompson charged towards them swinging an 18.5 inch hatchet without uttering a single word.

One 24-year-old officer was slashed in the arm

Another 25-year-old officer was slashed in the back of head and taken to Jamaica Hospital where he is being treated in critical condition, reports CBS.

The two remaining police shot at Thompson who dropped his hatchet then died at the scene.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said he's not ruling out terrorism especially in the wake of recent terror attacks in Canada, reports CNN.

'There is nothing we know as of this time that would indicate that were the case. I think certainly the heightened concern is relative to that type of assault based on what just happened in Canada,' said Bratton.

CNN reports that Thompson has a criminal record in California and that he was discharged from the U.S. Navy for misconduct. Details of his criminal record and his misconduct are not known at this time.

His Facebook page says that Thompson graduated from Columbia Teacher's College and that he resides in Queens.

CNN reports that New York police were alerted to be on the lookout for random attacks following Thursday's incident.

DNA Info spoke with witnesses on the scene.

'We heard pop, pop, pop, pop,' said Rafael, 44, who works at Overseas Travel nearby where the incident occurred.

'She was screaming,"'Help me." She couldn't get up,' said Ericka Babb, a medical assistant at Priority Medical Center in Queens.

'We were way too scared,' said Rafael.

Officers say they shot the hatchet-yielding suspect but its not clear how many rounds were fired.

'It was a completely unprovoked attack,' said NYPD Chief Kim Royster, a department spokeswoman.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said during a news conference that all of the police involved are recent graduates of this summer's Police Academy class.

'Three rookie cops, absolutely modest about what happened today and what they did,' de Blasio said.

During the conference Bill De Blasio lauded the officers' training and their fast response to the unprovoked attack.

Size Matters: Man cut off manhood and threw it in bin after girlfriend dumped him over small p***s

A Macedonian man chopped off his p***s and threw it in the bin after he was dumped by his girlfriend for his lack of bedroom skills.

The man told medics he felt his small-sized p***s was to blame for the split.

And, he said, as it was useless he decided to cut it off.

Oliver Ilic, 22, had called medics after he could not stop the bleeding.

And the jilted lover was taken on a stretcher in bloodstained jeans to hospital in the eastern town of Kocani.

Police searched his house and discovered the severed organ in a bin after it had been cut off with a single swipe from a razor blade.

The bloody p***s was delivered to the local hospital but a surgeon skilled enough to carry out the reattachment couldn't be found.

Ilic was then transferred to the hospital in the capital Skopje, where surgeons managed to reattach the p***s in a complicated five-hour surgery.

World's Scariest Theme Hotel: 24.000 people are on waiting list to stay but no-one's completed it yet

These terrifying images show what goes on inside the world's scariest haunted house, where visitors are tied up, forced into cages of snakes and drenched in faked blood.

McKamey Manor, in San Diego, California, is also the world's most exclusive haunted house, with 24,000 people on its waiting list.

No one has ever completed the ordeal in its entirety, with marines and adrenaline junkies failing the to make it through the mansion, which has reduced dozens of grown men to tears.

The interactive experience has been described as a real-life horror movie, with the whole experience filmed so guests can relive their terror.

Spectators can tune in online to watch the creepy goings-on inside the mansion, with the entire haunt lasting between four and eight hours.

Due to its cinematic nature, founder Russ McKamey, 55, and his girlfriend Carol Schultz make sure no two visits are the same.

The theme changes every year and participants have been tied up, had their heads forced into a cage of snakes, eaten rotten eggs and have even been gagged.

Only two daredevils can enter the possessed house at once, with applicants background checked before they are granted entry.

The whole project is run free-of-charge by Russ, who came up with the idea for the experience more than 14 years ago.

Running year-round, the haunt, which has been described as the 'world's scariest', is more about smoke and mirrors, Mr McKamey said.

A fan of horror movies such as Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The House On Haunted Hill, Mr McKamey said the experience has been known to make grown men cry.

The couple have reportedly spent more than $500,000 on making McKamey Manor the scariest experience on Earth.

Despite Mr McKamey describing the house as PG-13, family friendly and 'like Indiana Jones on steroids', participants must be at least 21, have no serious medical conditions and sign a waiver before they enter the manor.

He said: 'Nothing is like what we do. It's like living your own horror movie.

'There are four different locations, which have been streamlined for hardcore fans, determined to make it through.

'I consider the people who take part in these haunts as my friends because I research and spend time with them before they go on the haunt.

'Everything is very interactive. The experience - and challenges - are to prove what you can and can't do.'

Woman rips apart an ATM with her BARE hands after it wouldn't let her withdraw any cash

A woman seemed to experience a brain snap after she couldn't get any cash out of the ATM prompting her to tear apart the machine with her own hands.

The lady created quite a scene in a shopping mall in Dongguan in the Chinese province of Guangdong when she astoundingly dismantled the machine within a matter of minutes.

The extreme behaviour drew an intrigued crowd of shoppers to gather around and watch the strange event unfold while taking photos on their phones.

However, despite at least three security guards attending the bizarre scene - no one attempted to stop the woman from damaging the machine.

The woman was seen mumbling to herself and hitting the machine at the Shilong Jingshawan Shopping Mall at 5.50pm on October 16, a centre representative told the Southern Metropolis Daily, according to the China Smack website.

The representative said that the security guards were called to the scene after reports of the woman pulling apart the machine within a 'short few minutes'.

'We can see from the mall's security cameras that she first pried off the plastic frame/case off the sides of the ATM, and then forcefully tore out the computer display,' the representative said.

'After dismantling the machine, she even stood there as if nothing had happened, but was then taken back to the police station once police arrived.'

The woman told the officers that she repeatedly tried to withdraw money from the ATM without success.

The representative said the footage showed she did not use any tools to pull apart the machine.

One possibility for the woman able to dismantle a machine so easily might be the ATM had been in service for a long time and that 'the plastic casing surrounding it has become old and brittle, and was therefore easy to damage,' the spokesperson said.

Chinese beggars cut off a camel's HOOVES to get people to feel sympathetic and donate money

Animal rights activists have warned people in China against giving money to beggars asking for money to help mutilated animals.

These pictures claim to show a camel deliberately mutilated to get people to feel sympathetic and donate more money, apparently towards its upkeep.

The camel and two beggars were photographed in the city of Fuzhou, Fujian province, south-east China, where police confirmed mutilating animals was now the new trend.

Mutilating people, they said, no longer seemed to gather as many generous donations, with people more often making a wide berth around limbless beggars.

Police were unable to take any action against the gang as they hadn't broken the law. The camel has been used for begging since at least April and, according to local media, brings in lots of cash.

The men claimed that the camel was a wild camel that they had rescued after it had been run over by a train. They denied mutilating it, saying they had taken it upon themselves to care for it and needed the money for food.

But police say the story is a sham and it's almost certain the men or their contacts hacked off the camel's hooves themselves.

With just 600 wild camels left in north-west China's Gobi desert, and 800 in the deserts of Mongolia, their survival in the world is seriously at risk and they are supposedly strictly protected.

In practice though there is rarely any action against people who trap the animals, mainly because of the difficulty in proving they are not domestic animals.

The mutilation of this camel is the latest argument by animal rights activists for China to change the law on the torture of animals, in a country where cruelty to animals is not illegal.

Animal rights campaigner Xiong Kung said: 'You can see that the animal was obviously mutilated some time ago because the wounds are now healed.

'My information is that they get a large amount of money every day from people shocked by what they see and in effect they are rewarding these criminals for torturing the animal in the first place.

'But when police turn up all they can do is maybe move them on or fine them for begging, but nothing else. And that will remain the case until we get laws protecting animal rights.'

Monsters, Zombies and Ghouls: U.K Mum's amazing Halloween face painting tutorial goes viral

These are the many scary faces of a mother who likes to transform herself into creepy characters.

Care home worker Nikki Shelley, 33, uses face paints to create her monsters, zombies and ghouls - and she taught herself the art at home in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The mother-of-three's impressive work has gone viral on Facebook, even impressing the special effects guru behind BBC science fiction shows Doctor Who and Torchwood.

She said: I didn't think anything would come of it but the reaction to my work has been incredible. I don't really have an idea in mind when I start to paint. I just start and see what happens.

Mrs Shelley, who is married to Craig, 37, started by painting her children Taylor, 13, Leah, 11, and Kaiden, nine, for Halloween and unearthed her talent.

The mothers portfolio has been praised by more than 1,000 Facebook users, and her family were so impressed by her work that they told her to take it further. Now she wants to turn professional.

Mrs Shelley said: I started painting my kids' faces for Halloween, then I asked Craig if I could paint him as well. But I knew I couldn't paint on them all the time so I started painting my own face.

I started to think of ways I could make my work different. I wanted to stand out and try new things. Luckily it has paid off.

She said she is inspired by prosthetic designer Neill Gorton, who has now asked her to be a teacher at an industry conference in Birmingham next month called The Prosthetics Event.

Mrs Shelley, who shares her surname with Frankenstein author Mary Shelley and lives in a 140,000 semi-detached three-bedroom house, added: I never imagined I'd be an educator at a Neill Gorton show.

'The last 18 months have just been incredible. I now want to learn the prosthetics side of things and hopefully one day I might get the opportunity to work on TV shows and movies.

Indian Mizoram Premier League footballer DIES from spinal injuries after Somersault goal celebration

A footballer has died after a celebration went tragically wrong in India's Mizoram Premier League.

Peter Biaksangzuala died in hospital on Sunday after falling on his head while attempting a somersault after scoring for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC - a club based in the north east Indian province of Mizoram.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored a 62nd-minute equaliser against Chanmari West FC in Tuesday's league encounter and celebrated acrobatically - in a manner similar to record World Cup goalscorer Miroslav Klose.

Biaksangzuala mistimed his landing and his head took the brunt of the fall.

Team-mates immediately rushed to his aid and he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

Biaksangzuala was rushed to Aizawl Civil Hospital where a CT scan revealed he had severely damaged his spinal cord and he was moved to an intensive care unit.

He spent five days in hospital, as doctors unsuccessfully attempted to heal his injuries, and was pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday after being put on a ventilator.

A source said: 'He was trying to do Germany's Klose signature flip stunt, but it misfired unfortunately.'

Reports in India suggest that Biaksangzuala had donated his eyes during the time he spent in the hospital.

In memory of the midfielder, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC have retired his shirt No 21 with the Mizoram Football Association releasing a statement via their official Facebook page.

The statement read: 'Bethlehem Vengthlang FC midfielder Peter Biaksangzuala lost his fight for survival after he suffered a fatal injury while celebrating his goal.

'It has been a sad day for Mizoram football and the demise of the footballer shook his team-mates, footballers and fans alike all over Mizoram.

'Peter was a defensive midfielder who had always been aggressive and hard working, a true team player. Like most defensive midfielders, he was excellent at reading the game, breaking up attacks and protecting his defenders.

'Peter's club Bethlehem Vengthlang FC will retire his jersey no. 21.'

Bethlehem Vengthlang coach Danny Lalduhawma added: 'Peter was a lad with good manner who always maintained his discipline on and off the pitch. I don't think there are many like him.'

Bear bites boy's arm off after he tries to feed it in Zoo in China

Standing in shock as medics work to stem the bleeding, these shocking pictures show the moments after a boy had his arm ripped off by a bear he had tried to pat.

The images show paramedics applying bandages to nine-year-old Zhang Chien's shoulder after his arm was torn off.

His severed limb can still be seen laying on the floor in the bear's enclosure, just minutes after the attack.

The nine-year-old stands in complete shock with bone protruding from where his arm had previously been as blood streams down his shirt.

For a brief moment he stands completely alone, not even crying, as tourists stare at the mauled boy, waiting for medical staff to arrive.

The grim pictures of the Chinese boy and the shattered remains of his arm were widely shared online after the horrifying incident.

Zhang was at Hebin Park Zoo, in Pingdingshan city in central China's Henan province, with his grandfather as a treat.

When his grandfather went to buy sweets, the child clambered over a safety rail to get nearer to the animal and reached in to stroke it.

At this point the bear put his head through the bars and grabbed the boy by his arm.

The child screamed as the bear grappled with his arm for 10 minutes before tearing it free, witnesses said.

People were seen trying to beat off the bear but their attempts were in vain.

Zoo staff could do nothing as the bear mauled the boy, and took a further 20 minutes to retrieve his severed right arm.

The boy's parents have slammed the zoo, saying staff should have been supervising the bear.

His mother, Ku, said she could not believe it when she arrived at Pingdingshan Number 152 Hospital to be told that surgeons would have to amputate what was left of her son's arm.

She said: 'I don't know how we will ever get over this. Our entire family has been ruined because of this zoo.

'They should have made it safer and they should have always had staff on duty to supervise the animals.'

The zoo has not commented.

Bear attacks are rare although according to the Journal of Emergency Medicine, there were 162 bear-inflicted injuries in the USA between 1900 and 1985, International Business Times reports.

Jeffrey Tittel, director of environmental organisation New Jersey Sierra Club, claims that bears are usually docile and afraid of people.

Attacks often relate to people having food, as bears that have been fed by humans see people as a source of food and can become aggressive.

Tutankhamun had girlish hips - clubfoot according to 'virtual autopsy', also his parents were brother & sister

With strong features cast in burnished gold, Tutankhamuns burial mask projects an image of majestic beauty and royal power.

But in the flesh, King Tut had buck teeth, a club foot and girlish hips, according to the most detailed examination ever of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs remains.

And rather than being a boy king with a love of chariot racing, Tut relied on walking sticks to get around during his rule in the 14th century BC, researchers said.

A virtual autopsy, composed of more than 2,000 computer scans, was carried out in tandem with a genetic analysis of Tutankhamuns family, which supports evidence that his parents were brother and sister.

The scientists believe that this left him with physical impairments triggered by hormonal imbalances. And his family history could also have led to his premature death in his late teens.

Various myths suggest he was murdered or was involved in a chariot crash after fractures were found in his skull and other parts of his skeleton.

Now scientists believe he may have died of an inherited illness because only one of the breaks occurred before he died, while his club foot would have made chariot racing impossible.

The revelations are made in BBC One documentary Tutankhamun: The Truth Uncovered, which airs next Sunday.

Albert Zink, from the Institute for Mummies and the Iceman in Italy, deciphered the truth about the rulers parents by studying the royal familys DNA.

He found that Tut was born after his father Akhenaten dubbed the heretic king had a relationship with his sister. Incest was not frowned upon by the ancient Egyptians and they did not know about the health implications for any offspring.

Hutan Ashrafian, a lecturer in surgery at Imperial College London, said that several members of the family appeared to have suffered from ailments which can be explained by hormonal imbalances. He said: A lot of his family predecessors lived to a ripe old age. Only his immediate line were dying early, and they were dying earlier each generation.

Egyptian radiologist Ashraf Selim: The virtual autopsy shows the toes are divergent in laymans terms its club foot. He would have been heavily limping.

There is only one site where we can say a fracture happened before he died and that is the knee.

Evidence of King Tuts physical limitations were also backed up by 130 used walking canes found in his tomb.

CCTV Ambulance hitting a car and car then hitting two pedestrians at a junction in East China

The footage shows an ambulance speeding through a red light, hitting a car as it crossed the junction.

The car then sped forward, throwing two pedestrians a number of metres across the road.

Despite the force of the hit, the victims survived. They both suffered extreme fractures, and the car was also severely damaged.

An investigation by the local transportation authority said that the patient on board the ambulance was not in a life-threatening condition, so the ambulance should not have jumped the traffic light.

The ambulance driver has taken full responsibility for the accident, and has paid a fine.

Police body cam shows officer called over a family's dog then SHOT it for no reason in Texas

A Texas community is outraged over a newly released video showing and officer calling a pitbull over before shooting the dog to death.

The incident happened in August but footage has just now been released by the Cleburne police department.

The officer, who has not been identified, claims the pitbull was aggressive and rushing towards him.

CBS DFW reports that the officer was called to Lindsey Lane in response to a 911 call from a woman saying three pits were menacing a car and keeping people from leaving.

The loose dogs belonged to neighbor Amanda Henderson.

She said the footage showed a murder.

'I see him murdering my puppy, our family...our dog,' she told WFAA.

She says that the footage shows no reason to shoot her dog.

'Never once did Max stop wagging his tail. Never once do you hear a growl, an aggressive anything,' she said.

Footage shows one pitbull running up to one cop with its tail wagging upon the officer's arrival.

Another officer, fitted with a body camera, can be seen going behind the house to find two more dogs in a ditch.

The unidentified officer is heard to make kissing noises at the animals as a gun comes into frame.

The officer claims the dog was charging with teeth barred when he opened fire, but in the footage the gun fills most of the frame.

Police say the video is not representative of the situation, and that the officer who fired was trying to get the dogs secure until animal control could respond when one animal became a threat.

Residents are not comfortable with how he handled the situation.

'To call the dog and act like youre going to be sweet to the dog, and you just blatantly shoot it, I dont think thats right at all,' says neighbor Virginia Granger.

Kristin Dodge, who also lives in the area, told CBS DFW the dogs were well behaved and played with her kids.

'These are peoples pets. These are peoples family. To see something like that happen wasnt really necessary, I think,' she said.

Both the pitbull's owners and the 911 caller have since moved out of the neighborhood.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police at 817-556-8894.

Real life 'Devil Man' with black eyeballs and horn implants embedded in forehead

Meet the terrifying Devil Man who has black tattooed eyeballs and horns attached to his head and arms.

But this is no Halloween costume or a clever make-up trick, it's a way of life for Colombian born Caim Mortis.

The 42-year-old has spent 11 years modifying his body including having his eyeballs tattooed completely black, horn-like dermal implants put into his forehead and forearms and a horn piercing.

As a result of his menacing body overhaul, Caim's devout Catholic family rejected him and he moved from Colombia to Mexico where people are more accepting.

Caim said: "When people first see me their normal reaction is to be shocked or amazed.

"The first thing they ask me is "does it hurt?" or "who did this to you?"

"One of the key motivations for my own body modifications has been to be unique and different compared to others in the world.

"Body modification culture has been around for ages, it is not just a fashion or a temporary fad although people presume it is."

Like Caim, lots of people want to stand out from the crowd, and he helps them in his jobs as a tattoo artists and body painter.

He is also set to launch his new career as a DJ this Halloween and is touring with another DJ, Gisella, who will play the part of an "Angel" to his devil on stage.

Caim said: "I have always been heavily into music, especially Latin styles, Electronic Dance Music and world fusion and I have been training as a DJ for many months.
